Description
1794-1797. Stone baulks small and square on plan with rounded corners and concave tops. Stone kerb in front of railway bridge preserving line of front garden kerbs and atone baulks in front of houses along north side of street (the baulks, probably were intended to keep carts out of the gully and away from the stone garden kerbs (originally railed). Their concave tops suggest they may also have been intended to serve as small mounting blocks when required.
