Description
Water-powered corn mill, now disused. Coursed squared gritstone and red brick, with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and overloft, with former extension to south west only surviving at footings level. Former wheelpit to south west bay, with wheel and drive machinery now removed, but pair of millstones remaining in situ. Plain window and door openings. A large curved buttress survives on the north side. C19 red brick wing to south east, with stone lintels over plain openings. The mill took its water from the River Ecclesbourne, via a long head race which is now overgrown and blocked.
