SK26NW COOMBS ROAD 831-1/2/86 Railway Bridge at NGR SK 2305 6788 20/05/74 (Formerly Listed as: COOMBS ROAD (South West side) Railway Bridge)

Railway viaduct. Line opened 1 August 1862. By Midland Railway engineer WH Barlow. Coursed rock-faced sandstone with brick soffits. 3 skew arches, the road passing beneath the centre. Tapered piers, impost bands and segmental arches with voussoirs; diminishing-coursed stonework in the spandrels. Deep band beneath coped 3-course parapet which terminates at rectangular end piers.
