SK 33548 43164. Cast iron milepost, by J Harrison. 'Wirksworth 8, Derby 5, London 131 miles'. (1)
Grade II listed cast iron milepost by J Harrison of Derby. On the Derby to Wirksworth road, originally run by the Duffield & Wirksworth Turnpike Trust. The milepost is 20½ ins wide, 8 ins deep and has 33 ins visible above ground. (2)
The Mile post was erected in the early 19th century. It is created from cast iron and is triangular in plan rising to a back plate with a segment top. (3)
