Full Description

19th century milestone comprising a rectangular slab of dressed stone with a shouldered rounded head. The inscription reads 'To / BAKEWELL / 10 / MILES' and 'To / ASHBOURN / 7 / MILES'. (1) The milestone stood on a turnpike road administered by the Haddon & Bentley Turnpike Trust. (2)
