Full Description
A grade II listed tramway overbridge that was built circa 1841. It is a single arch bridge of coursed gritstone blocks, with a boldly projecting roll moulding to the head of a stilted semi-circular archway. Above, there is a low parapet of massive gritstone blocks, with channelled faces. There are sloped curved abutment walls at either end, with flat copings. The bridge formed part of the Crich tramroad built by George Stephenson in 1841, to link the Crich quarry with lime kilns at Ambergate. (1)
