Protected Status/Designation

Full Description
A stone circle was located and photographed by a member of the public whilst out walking in December 2012. It was situated near Park Farm, at approximately SK 359 422. Despite walking out that way in the past, the stone circle had not previously been noticed, and it is suspected to be a modern hoax; possibly using stones from local disused quarries [SMR 22312 & SMR 22304]. (1, 2)
The stone circle can be seen on Google Maps aerial photographs at SK 35877 42183. It cannot be seen on Bing Maps aerial photographs, or any historic or modern OS maps, indicating that the stone circle is, in fact, modern. (3, 4)
