Full Description

A Grade II listed terrace of fifteen early 19th century, two storey workers' cottages, built of coursed squared gritstone and plain tile roofs with nine brick roof-ridge chimney-stacks. The north-east elevation is of seventeen bays, having from left to right on the ground floor: a plank door, a glazing-bar sash window, a 19th century canted oriel window, two plank doors, a glazing-bar sash-window, a plain sash-window, a half-glazed 20th century door, a plank door, a glazing-bar sash, a 20th century small pane fixed light, two 20th century doors, two glazing bar sash-windows, a segment-headed archway through the building, a 19th century sash-window, two plank doors, two casement windows, a 20th century door, a plank door, two casement windows, a plank door, a 20th century door, a casement window, a plank door, a 20th century oriel window, a blocked doorway with a segment head and a 20th century casement window. Most of the windows and doors have massive stone lintels. The first floor has sixteen windows: a mixture of sash-windows, casement windows and 20th century replacements. (1)
