Full Description
A Grade II listed, late 18th century house, altered in the 19th century, with a roughcast exterior and a Welsh slate roof, stone coped gables with plain kneelers and a low parapet to the north. The house has two storeys with attics, and two stone roof-ridge chimney-stacks. The irregular four bay south elevation has a deeply projecting two-storey canted bay to the left with a shallow hipped roof, French doors and glazing-bar sash-windows to the ground floor and three glazing-bar sash-windows above. There is a two storey flat-roofed, projecting porch to the right with a half-glazed door to the ground floor and a sash-window above. To the right again there is a broad projecting ground floor bay with a hipped roof and glazed door flanked by glazing-bar sash-windows. There is a single glazing-bar sash-window above. To the right again there is a glazing-bar sash-window to each floor. Additions to the right again are not of listable quality. The two-hipped roof has dormer windows. The north elevation has two glazing-bar sash-windows to the ground floor, two to the first floor, and an intermediate one lighting the stairs, all with louvered shutters. The interior has an open-string stick-baluster staircase around a square well with a ramped handrail. (1)
