Building record MDR16144 - Cliff Inn, Cliffside, Crich

A Grade II listed, three-storey Public House, circa 1800, built of coursed rubble gritstone with quoins, coped gables with plain kneelers, ashlar roof-ridge chimney-stacks, and a welsh slated roof, to an 'L' plan with a lower two storey range to the rear. The main range south-east elevation has three bays with stacked glazing-bar sash windows diminishing in height from the ground floor, with deep lintels and projecting cills. The central door has a quoined surround, shallow moulded bracketed hood, and a 20th century glazed door. The single storey attached range to the north-east end is not included in the listing. (1)
