Full Description
A grade II listed penfold letter box that was constructed from cast iron in 1870. It is octagonal in plan, with a moulded plinth. The main elevation has an inset plate stating times of collections with a posting slot above. It has a moulded and slightly domed top with leaf decoration. This box was originally sited in the East Manchester area of Newton Heath, and it was removed to its present site in 1973. See list description for further details. (1)
