Full Description

A Grade II listed, early 19th century toll house, now a private house, of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and a plain tile roof with a stone coped gable to the south. The house has a brick roof-ridge chimney-stack and a gable chimney-stack, two storeys, and the west elevation has three bays. The doorway is off-centre with a stone lintel and raised and fielded panelled door, flanked on each side by glazing bar sash windows with stone lintels, jambs and sill. To the left, there is a canted bay window with a flat roof and small pane glazing. The first floor has two glazing bar sash windows in stone surrounds. (1)
