Full Description

A three storey house that seems to have originaly been built c.1830 to serve as a tower windmill and a bakery. A windmill is shown on the 1848 Tithe Award map, and Kelly's 'Post Office Directory' of 1855 lists a John Ford as a miller and shopkeeper. The date of '1840' is inscribed over a rear window and the report author was informed that there was a baker's oven in the ground floor of the house. <1>
