Full Description

In the easternmost part of the site the foundations of a building, probably dating to the mid-nineteenth century, were uncovered. Linear features that align with former field boundries and two former roads that formed a junction in the north-eastern part of the site were also identified. The linear features are probably field boundaries that were backfilled in order to level the ground for the World War II era airfield. A foundation layer for the taxiway of the former airfield was also uncovered within the north of the site (1).
