Full Description

"Bole Hill, N.W. [?NE] of Wirksworth" is included in a "list of ancient boles or lead hearths". Bole Hill in Wirksworth parish occurs as Boale Hill in 1599. (1-2) The site of this early smelting site was not established. (3)
