Full Description

Report of a spearhead discovered by an unnamed metal detectorist but left in situ. It is said to be 50m south of the wall lying to the south of Wigber Low and 50m east of another wall. The detectorist is reported to have placed a horseshoe over the spearhead before reburying it. It was apparently found in 1984 but not reported to the SMR until 18/7/95. (1)
