Full Description

Two stone celts found near Bakewell, one of them in 1844. (1). One of the celts is in the Sheffield City Museum (Acc. No. J93.69). However, this celt was found on Gratton Moor, near Middleton in 1852. One of these celts could be recorded in SMR 807. As the location of the findspots is unknown, the point has been removed from the map. (4).
