Full Description

Two Neolithic polished stone axes found at Youlgreave. One was found near Youlgreave in 1830 and is in dolerite and part of the Bateman Collection at Sheffield City Museum. (1,2,4). The other is a 'Bridlington' axe, Group 1, oval section, once in the Heathcote Museum. Presumably now in Sheffield City Museum. (3,4).
