Full Description

Four late Saxon ninth century strap-ends from Youlgreave, now in the British Museum. (1,4). The strap-ends were probably found together in a mine. They are from the collection of J.F. Lucas, of Ashbourne and are now in the British Museum; Registration numbers are 73, 6-2, 64, 66, 67, 68. (2,4). No further information. (3,4). The strap-ends were found in or before 1961. (4).
