Full Description

A scramaseax and a painted rod, both Saxon in date, from Longstone were found by Lucas in 1868 (presumably in a barrow excavation). They are in the British Museum. Reg. No. 1873, 6-2, 106, 107. (1,2). Point has been removed from the map as location of findspot is unknown. (3).
