[Marginal] ….. After mentioning the coins found at Little Chester, Philip Kinder, in a manuscript of c. 1663, notes: 'But I would not have every place where such coine is found to be a garrison; for then why not Chadston (now called Chaddesden, W.T.W.) a neighbouring town where great plentie have been turned up …..' Although I should infer ….. That these coins were found singly rather than in a hoard, as there is no precise evidence of the fact, and as coins solely (without other remains) are named I have ……." listed them as a hoard.
