Full Description

An axe-hammer from Allenton is in Derby Museum. Acc.No. 285-55 (1) Brought to the museum by a Mr. Keetley c.1943. (Group XV) Exact site not known. (2) Unable to contact Mr. Keetley. No further information. (3) SK 3731. Axe-hammer, Allenton. Listed in survey. Petrological group XV. (4) Early Bronze Age axe-hammerfound at Allenton; 10.25" x 4.25" x 3.25", weight 8lb 3oz; micaceous sub-greywacke, Group XV; probably found 1943 (5)
