Full Description

A stone implement, thought to be a mace or club, was found in a field at Brimington during quarrying operations in July 1778. The implement measures 22 inches long, including the handle, two inches broad at the broadest part, one inch broad at the end and 3/4 inch thick. It is "whitish, of a close texture, smooth, and ponderous". (1) Additional sources. (2-6) Archaeological History recorded as Chance Find July 1778.
