Full Description
Early 20th century colliery village associated with a period of expansion at Pleasley Colliery. Long terraces running eastwards from the Pleasley-Clowne road, featuring large windows of the type more usually associated with inter-war semi-detached houses. (1)
Devonshire Street - good example of miners' terraced housing on the Notts-Derbyshire coalfield, being rows of two-storey houses. (2, 3)
Northern terraces, school and Methodist chapel are first shown on 2nd ed. OS 25". Southern terraces first shown on 3rd ed. OS 25". (4)
