Description
Built between 1792 and 1797 by Strutts to house workers in their cotton mills. A long coursed stone terrace with slate roof and brick chimneys. Facade of No 37 now rendered. Three storeys. One window each, sashes and casements, top floors with small iron framed Strutt designed windows as Nos 1 to 28 (qv) Some modern glazing, generally in some spaces. First floor windows and doors with voussoirs. Coursed stone coped garden walls to street and ramped up between each garden. Stone steps up to front doors.
